WORLD CLASS !!!
When you're in a Third World country, seldom do you get to have world class performances, and even harder for us to afford them.
August 9 was another blessing for my family...My eldest daughter celebrated her 7th birthday on August 8, and since we could not afford a party for her, she was happy with just a pasta dinner... little did she know that her "peyri godmother" bought tickets for us to watch Cinderella at the Cultural Center of the Philippines..with Lea Salonga performing.
Words cannot describe her face, when we showed her the tickets, and her face brightened up more, when we told her it was Lea Salonga performing.
....As for me...the last play I watched was when I was in High School, with Lou Veloso, and the late Rene Requiestas, and it was only because, it was a pre-requisite in school... I am not really into musicals and plays..and so I thought
We were all mesmerized when Lea took the stage, and we were all joking that, Lea Salonga had a CD player inside her mouth.. It was really like listening to a CD on the best sound system one could afford !!
Of course, my daughter was all smiles once again, and she really wanted to meet Lea backstage, but it was too much of a longshot to get to meet the cast.
For now, she is content with listening to the Cinderella soundtrack, and we have to listen to it over and over again, almost 24/7.

FASHION DIVA !!!!
My daughter was chosen to be one of the models in a fashion show for the new children's wing in Robinson's Galleria..
and boy, was she excited..
Call time was at 10AM, and they were asked to choose about six clothes per shop to wear in the fashion show..and like the proverbial child let loose in a candy store....she was in pure BLISS !!
Show started at past 2PM with some games for the kids in the audience.and once the fashion show got going...my daughter was in her element !
Too bad they were not allowed to take the clothes they wore home, but she really enjoyed the gig!

ENCHANTED!!!
Another blessing...someone gave us free tickets to Enchanted Kingdom. After everything that has happened to me, I did not expect to go on the rides again, much less enjoy them. My wife was telling me that maybe this is the Lord's way of making me catch up with 2 years of not going out with my family.
excited!
let's go to the rides!
LET'S GO!!
I SAID LET'S GO!!!
Rides??..What rides???
That's what I'm talking about!!
E.K. at night

Awesome
God's grace has been so real to me especially this year, when I (finally) began to understand the meaning of God's grace. Many times I have heard these words 'grace', 'grace of God', 'God's grace', and though I knew what they meant, I never fully understood it. However, through the events and activities of this year, I've begun to be able to get a taste of what God's grace means.
birthday girl!

celebration at Rack's

Going out of the house, eating in a restaurant, attending family occasions, going out with my family, these are things I wasn't able to do for a long time and being able to do them again really shows me how the Lord works His way in my life.
The past days have been truly amazing, going out with my wife and kids for 4 days straight, getting almost 6 months colostomy supplies for free, my daughter was given a "scholarship". I am just truly in awe of how the Lord works, and again, for those the Lord used for all these...THANK YOU!!!

NUTROPLEX KID!!! (from old blog)
Yesterday my daughter graduated from the preparatory level in her school. What does that have to do with my life and my sickness?
This is the first time in 2 years, that I was able to go to my daughter's school program. I was either in too much pain or too weak to attend any of my daughter's activities before.
I thank God that I'm slowly getting stronger, and my post operation pains are slowly subsiding.
My daughter received a medal for being outstanding in academics, which made daddy soooo proud!
She also received a medal from Nutroplex kids multivitamins for her achievement in academics.
